I’m sure we’ve all seen our share of garish barbecues, and by that I mean those giant brick and mortar temples to meat that people erect in their backyards. But if you prefer to barbecue with a little more style, this stainless steel barrel model from Eva Solo is as cool a BBQ as you’re ever going to find. Designed by Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek, the barbecue’s stainless steel finish should make it last longer than other barbecues that are finished with enamel, chrome or nickel-plating. Stainless steel also just looks really cool which is why some people cover their entire kitchens with it. In fact you’ll probably be more inclined to leave this barbecue out on the patio when it’s not in use, just so you can look at it.

But like a lot of things that have been crafted by a talented designer, the Eva Solo Stainless Steel BBQ doesn’t come cheap. A 19.3-inch diameter version costs $680 while a 27-inch diameter version is $1,070. You can get them from Unica Home along with a similarly priced line of Eva Solo barbecue accessories.

About two minutes into this clip, they follow some repo men to Lil Kim’s McMansion and “reallocate” her silver Bentley. Then when the reporters knock on her door to ask her about it, she acts like she doesn’t know what they’re talking about and curses them out. Classy broad.

NJ PATH TRAIN HELL

A noontime manhole fire has helped knock out some PATH train service tonight. WNBC reports the Christopher Street station was filled with smoke and evacuated, and the "fire damaged signals and power cables." Path service between 33rd Street and the Journal Square and Hoboken stations is suspended in both directions this evening and it's unclear if it'll be back up for tomorrow.

The PATH stations at 33rd Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street, 9th Street and Christopher Street will be closed tonight. According to NJ Transit, PATH tickets will be honored at Penn Station in NY and Newark. Additionally, the PATH station at the World Trade Center is open.

The Star-Ledger says 58,000 commuters use the 33rd Street line daily.

Now here's an interesting combo of gadgets: a radio with a removable MP3 player built in. The player is designed to record from the radio so you can listen to it from wherever you are. It's an interesting device, one that fans of talk radio should see the use of, allowing them to record Don Imus for later listening away from the drivetime hours.

Similar devices for satellite radio fans already exist, and one has to wonder why the MP3 player doesn't include an FM tuner of its own. But hey, for a simple product with a singular mission, it should suit those who'd need it well.
